Chlamydia (Kla-mid-ee-a)...

...is the commonest sexually transmitted infection. You do not have to have had a lot of sexual partners to catch it. 1 in 10 people under 25 years of age have Chlamydia and most do not have any signs or symptoms. It affects both men and women. If left untreated it can cause long term health problems in both males and females.

Finding out if you have Chlamydia is simple.

  • Call in to a screening site and provide a urine specimen.
  • Or ask for a free post pack to be sent to you.

If you do have Chlamydia, treatment is easy for most people, just four tablets.

All screening and treatment is free and completely confidential.

Good Advice

Make sure your friends have heard about chlamydia and its consequences. Encourage them to get a check-up if they think they are at risk.

If you have concerns, act on them and get yourself checked out.

By the way, have you heard about the Chlamydia Blues?
